Higashi Osaka Fujimoto Orthopedic Clinic, Osaka
Providing Smiles, Energy, and Peace of Mind to Patients and their Families as a Specialized Orthopedic Surgeon
Since its establishment in 2024, Higashi Osaka Fujimoto Orthopedic Clinic has been providing community-centered medical services in Osaka City. Led by Dr. Fujimoto, the clinic’s founder and director, they are dedicated to addressing the diverse clinical needs of patients in the region, always with a focus on compassionate care and supporting each patient’s well-being. We interviewed Dr. Fujimoto and his team in February 2025.
Dr. FujimotoAt the beginning of interview, Dr Fujimoto mentioned that “I believe that patients have quite a bit of anxiety about coming to the orthopedic clinic, but we try our best to alleviate their fears and send everyone home with a smile afterwards. We work every day to make that possible.”

Mr. Kouji Morita, the physiotherapist who works alongside Dr. Fujimoto to support the community, also shared the following thoughts:
Mr Kouji Morita“We try to understand a patient’s lifestyle, what their job involves, and the tendencies in their movements, so that we can begin to strategize to address their issues. We make a conscious effort to gather this kind of information and propose exercises that can be easily incorporated into the patient’s daily life. We strive to always be mindful of tailoring our approach to fit the individual’s life context.”
About 2-in-1 Traction Device : Orthotrac Lasedia
We asked the Orthotrac Lasedia of OG Wellness, which is 2-in-1 Traction Device introduced in this clinic.
Based on imaging and physical examinations, if a patient has a herniated disc with severe pain in the lower limb, we typically recommend physical therapy. For example, using a traction machine. Given the significant benefits of surgery for hip joints, I promptly refer patients to a colleague who specializes in orthopedic surgery. For lumbar and neurological conditions, we prioritize and maintain conservative therapies with comprehensive rehabilitation, such as using Traction Device.
While many clinics focus solely on physical therapy, we take a comprehensive approach that includes both physiotherapy and rehabilitation. Our clinic has a large team of physical therapists, allowing for effective treatment. The ability to provide both rehabilitation and physical therapy is a significant advantage for us. Our facility is well-equipped with ample space for rehabilitation.
This traction device has received positive feedback from patients, with many saying that it makes their lower back feel much better. Those who like it come to our clinic daily to use it, which makes me feel that introducing Lasedia was a great decision. OG Wellness’ machine allows for both cervical and lumbar traction using the same device, which is a unique advantage as well.
The operation is very simple, and the setup is also very easy. With just the press of a button, the machine starts, requiring minimal effort from the staff. Currently, we have two rehabilitation assistants working, and they can handle it smoothly. The staff also appreciate its ease of use, giving it positive feedback.
About Waterbed Massager : Quattromano
We also asked about the Quattromano, the Waterbed Massager of OG Wellness as well.
We didn’t have it when we first opened the clinic. I initially thought Waterbed wasn’t necessary item since we have in-house PT and that would be sufficient. However, after opening this clinic, we were surprised by the number of patients asking if we had a waterbed and expressing their desire to use one.

We implemented it in response to patient feedback. It was about two or three months into our operation. We opened in May and introduced it in August. Its introduction was met with very positive feedback, and some patients enjoy it so much they come daily. Even our staff use it during their breaks, and it’s been a big hit. Due to their long-standing history, many orthopedic clinics in Japan utilize waterbeds.
The OG Wellness waterbed’s compact design means it doesn’t occupy a large area. I’m very pleased with its introduction. I think it is simple to use and easy to use.
We primarily recommend waterbeds to older patients who suffer from lower back pain. I believe that young people will also enjoy it after trying it once, so I’d like to actively encourage its use among them.
It’s especially suitable for patients experiencing lower back pain without neurological symptoms, like leg numbness. It’s primarily recommended for those with isolated lower back pain.
Some patients told me that ‘My lower back feels much lighter, and the persistent pain has disappeared.’ Some patients opt for block injections, but many patients told me that using the waterbed alleviates pain as effectively as after receiving an injection.
Any comments about OG Wellness?
In case we encounter an issue, the sales representative of OG Wellness promptly comes to support us. Their responsiveness is consistently rapid. We’ve been very satisfied with their after-sales support, confirming that choosing OG Wellness was the right decision.
