Sereno is an open-sided shower bath that makes it possible to bathe while lying down. Sereno was developed to offer a comfortable bathing experience to bedridden persons, persons suffering from contractures who have difficulties bathing, and persons who find whole body baths overly burdensome on the heart and lungs. With few bodily restrictions in place, Sereno is an all-encompassing bathing solution that can be used by the largest range of users.
Warmer
Warms the body just like a warm bath
The curtain buttons shut to prevent a draft from getting in. Caregivers reach in through the curtain, so the bather stays warm during the bath.* The photo shows the clear curtain. A white curtain is also available.
300μm
A delicate 300μm mist shower
This 12-nozzle array produces a mist shower that covers the entire body. Large mist drops help warm the shoulders, feet and other areas susceptible to getting cold. Sereno features an open-sided design to allow caregivers to dock stretchers either vertically or horizontally, from the left or the right. Inserting and removing the stretcher is both safe and simple to do. The side-docking type can be used in a typical-sized bathroom that measures at least 3m × 3m. Both the conventional Front docking type and the side-docking type unit are available.

01.Chemical cleaning
Sereno features a dedicated handheld shower head to shower down the Sereno using a chemical cleaning solution. Users can switch between a shower spray and a stream using the switch on the handle.* Only available in the HK-3100G

02.Urinary bag holder
A urine guide bag holder is also provided as standard for patients with an indwelling catheter in their urethra (urinary bladder). -
03.Open / close type gurney
The gurney opens and closes to make it easier to clean the back surface. This allows caregivers to clean the back surface near the buttocks, an area that can be easily soiled, without needing to stoop down. -
04.Safe shower ceiling
Protrusions have been removed from the bed ceiling to prevent unforeseen injuries during shower baths or while cleaning. This also helps prevent the build up of grime, and makes the unit easier to clean. -
05.Handheld shower head & remote control
Sereno features shower head holders built into all four corners of the gurney, so the caregiver can keep the showerhead within reach at all times while washing the bather’s hair and body. The remote control also features a convenient design that uses a hook to clasp onto the gurney. -
06.Charger connector
Convenient charger connector makes charging a breeze. -
07.Brake
Simply step down on the brake pedal to immobilize the stretcher.

Height adjustment
The gurney height can be raised and lowered over a range of 30 cm to help facilitate the transferring of patients from wheelchairs or movable stretchers.* Only available in the RA-3100S
Reclining
Bathers can be laid flat on their back, or propped up to a 15-degree angle. Adopting a posture that allows bathers to see forwards can help provide them with greater peace of mind, while making it easier for caregivers to wash their hair.
Generous gurney width
The gurney is 60 cm wide better allow for freedom of movement while taking shower baths. This also helps provide ample space for providing bathing care on the gurney.Safer, Easier and more Comfortable
Large side guard
The Sereno features large side guards covering from the shoulder to the feet to provide users with better peace of mind. The inside is cushioned with a soft mat that works as a gentle safety guard.
Double safety belts
Two safety belts are provided as standard for both the upper and lower body to prevent users from falling. All areas that come into contact with the body are covered in matting to prevent injury from belt chafing.
Fully flat gurney design
The flat gurney design makes it easier to transfer patients from wheelchairs, beds and movable stretchers. This can be used in conjunction with a sliding sheet or other transfer aids to easily transfer across patients without needing to pick them up.
Transferring patients at wheelchair height
Patients can be transferred across at the standard wheelchair seat height of 43.5 cm. Once transferred, the height can be adjusted back up to a maximum setting of 73.5 cm to allow caring services to be provided without needing to bend the back. Remote controller functionality greatly facilitates height adjustments.* Only available in the RA-3100S
‘Shower trolley’
A bathing mattress filled with hot water can be used to provide patients with an enjoyable bathing experience, showering down the body while the shoulders and back are kept warm.* The bathing mattress is an optional accessory.
