IVES 04Original gel electrodes detect EMGIn the Power Assist Mode, a 3-pole gel electrode cord consisting of the IVES 2-pole gel electrode in combination with the IVES gel electrode is used. The IVES 2-pole gel electrode is the IVES™original electrode which detects an EMG signal. The other IVES gel electrode is the grounding electrode which determines the reference potential. Electrical stimulation is generated between these two electrodes. The patient’s voluntary motion only, with limited force exerted by the patient In Power Assist Mode, with limited force exerted by the patient. Light electrical stimulation is emitted. In Power Assist Mode, with stronger force exerted by the patient. Stronger electrical stimulation is emitted.Light electricalstimulation applied.Powerful electricalstimulation applied.EMG signalElectricalstimulationEMG signalElectricalstimulationEMG signal2-pole gel electrode IVES gel electrode Usable for long hours while doing dailyactivities supporting treatment The patient gets electric stimulation in response to their own voluntary movement, with only faint, sub-motor threshold stimulation occurring during rest. As a result the patient can rest when they want to rest, enabling use for longer rehab sessions.Mode
